Welcome!

For years, I have wanted to start a blog – and a few times I have but I never made a post.  The hardest thing for me is ALWAYS the first post because (naturally) you want it to be perfect. But…let me let you in on a secret…we are our own biggest critic!

So – here is how this blog is going to go.  One of my New Year’s goals is to become the BEST version of myself and get in shape.  I’ve alway put everyone and everything before myself and my health, but 2018 is going to be different!  Every week I am going to find healthy recipes online or create my own, make a grocery list, and meal prep – sounds easy and great, right? Well, when you are trying to meet a certain caloric goal for the day sometimes it is easier said than done.

I will post a “The Plan” post with links to the recipes I am going to be using and why I think those recipes are for me.  Then after I finish meal planning and putting the recipes I used into myfitnesspal with any modifications I have done – I will post a “The Reality” post” to let yall know how my meal planning went and any modifications I made along with the link to the myfitnesspal recipe.  So basically – you will see my meal plan, grocery list, and calorie count for each recipe I decide to make.  Pretty excited to start this journey with all of you!
